Rotisserie Chicken Recipe



This is a really simple Rotisserie chicken recipe. It only uses a handful of basic ingredients and does not take long at all to cook.

Just follow these simple directions and you will find it hard to go wrong.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken

  • 2 tspn Paprika

  • 3 tspn salt

  • 2 Tspn Mixed Herbs, dried

  • 1 tspn onion powder

  • 3 Cloves of garlic, cut into halves

  • 1 Sprig of rosemary

  • 1 tspn Black pepper

  • 1/2 tspn garlic powder

  • 1 Large onion, cut into 4

Directions

Clean the chicken inside and out, removeing any fatty or unedible bits.

In a small bowl mix together the salt, pepper and all of the other spices and herbs.

Rub this dry mixture all over the chicken paying special attention to the inside of the chicken.

Cut the onion into four and stuff these quarters into the chicken.

Put the chicken into a clean and lightly greased oven tray and surround with the rosemary and garlic.

Cover the chicken in tinfoil and put into a preheated oven at 140 c for about an hour.

Remove the tinfoil and put back in the oven for another 3.5 hours.

Serve with vegetables and potatoes
