Crockpot Lemon Chicken Recipe

An exquisite yet painfully simple Crockpot Lemon Chicken recipe. Just throw in the ingredients and let it cook nice and slowly for a few hours.

  • Preperation: 10 Minutes

  • Cooking Time: 4 Hours

  • Serves: 6

Ingredients

I think that these are some of the most basic ingredients for any crock pot recipe!

  • 6 chicken Breasts

  • 4 Tablespoons of tomato ketchup

  • Juice of three lemons

  • Black Pepper

  • Oil

  • 3 Tablespoons of brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup of plain flour

  • Salt

  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar

  • 2 Tbs cornstarch

  • 50 Ml of water

Method

Heat some oil in a frying pan. Mix together the salt and flour and then, after you have deskinned and beboned the chicken breats, dip them into the flour.

Put them straight into the frying pan t brown slightly. This should take a couple of minutes. Afterwards put them into the crockpot.

Sqeeze the lemons as much as you can, try and get some of the pulp as well but no the seeds or skin. Add the juice to the crockpot along with the balsamic vinegar, pepper, ketchup, 50 ml of water and the brown sugar.

Heat for 4 Hours. Add slat and pepper if needed.

After four hours, scoop out the chicken and put in a warm bowl.

Mix together the cornstarch and water and pour into the sauce and stir. This should thicken it nicely. Pour over the chicken and serve hot.
